A simulated journey to the moon and back involves Major Aleš Svoboda, a Czech astronaut, former combat pilot, ESA member, and quite possibly the next Czech to be sent into space in the future. The mission takes place in a unique European training center called Little Moon City Prague (LMCP). During the current planned simulated mission various scientific experiments will be conducted, including an isolated "moonwalk" using virtual reality, where the crew will collect geological samples.
